Lennox and Addington County OPP have charged one person with refusing to provide a breath sample.
On Friday, January 31, 2025 shortly after 10 p.m., L&A County OPP members were alerted by a concerned citizen after they observed a person, who appeared intoxicated, enter a vehicle. Following a vehicle stop on County Road 2 in Loyalist Township, Taylor Samis, a 42-year-old from Loyalist Township was charged with refusal to provide a breath sample.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 18, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
