Seasons Dufferin Centre recently held their volunteer luncheon celebration to show appreciation for its community volunteers.
With more than twenty guests in attendance, including members from the Community Development Council of Quinte, Kiwanis Club, and Quinte Hospice, the afternoon began with a heartfelt speech, expressing deep gratitude to the volunteers and incredible community partners who make such a positive impact.
Following the speech, attendees were treated to lunch in which the atmosphere was filled with camaraderie, conversation, and laughter.
Resident volunteer Melli has volunteered for Trenton Memorial Hospital for many years since retiring, while also representing Seasons Dufferin Centre through its Seniorosity program.
The Seniorosity program is Seasons’ signature volunteer-driven initiative designed to provide opportunities to spread compassion and spark joy.
Melli spent the afternoon speaking with Quinte Hospice volunteer Kenna about what volunteering means to her and why she enjoys giving back to her community.
“The event was a huge success, and we couldn’t be prouder of our residents who volunteer,” said Christine Boniface, General Manager, Seasons Dufferin Centre. “It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen community connections and showcase our appreciation for those who volunteer and the warmth and care our retirement community provides.”
