Make it five straight wins for the Belleville Senators.
Donovan Sebrango (3rd) and Stephen Halliday (4th) scored midway in the second period and Leevi Merilainen stopped 15 shots as the B-Sens stopped the Syracuse Crunch 2-1 in a playoff-style game at the CAA Arena.
Head Coach David Bell summed it up.
While still in fifth place in the AHL’s North division the B-Sens, who have played fewer games than everybody else are just four points behind the first place Laval Rocket. And Belleville has four games in hand.
