A Toronto company is laying out a challenge to help local food banks.
Mandrake, a national recruitment firm, has a local connection through their vice president, Quinte West resident Lynn Doyle.
To give back, staff looked to donate time and money to the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto, however, Doyle wanted to support the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank.
This morning (Friday), Doyle volunteered time and presented a cheque for $1000 to Care and Share.
“I recruit people to work remotely and I think when there’s an opportunity to do something charitable around this time of year I suggest our volunteering out here.”
Doyle is challenging other remote workers and businesses in the region to support their local food banks either through money, sweat equity, or both.
