Apparently speeding knows no age limits.
Ontario Provincial Police report an 80-year-old motorist was nabbed for stunt driving Thursday afternoon on Highway 37 near Tweed.
A member of the OPP Highway Safety Division’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team clocked the driver travelling 159 km/hr in a posted 80 zone.
His licence was also expired.
The individual received an immediate 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound.
They also face a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points and a one-year driving prohibition upon conviction.
