Northumberland OPP have laid charges against a Trent Hills man following a disturbance at a hospital.
Police responded around 3 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a complaint about someone causing a disturbance and damaging equipment in the emergency department.
Police arrived shortly after and took one person into custody.
Thirty-three-year-old Kyle Miller is charged with:
– Mischief endangering life
– Common nuisance – endanger life
– Causing a disturbance
– Mischief under $5,000
The accused was held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
Northumberland OPP emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment within healthcare facilities noting that emergency departments play a critical role in saving lives, and any behaviour that disrupts their operations is taken very seriously.
