The City of Belleville’s Planning Committee approved a recommendation on a proposed seniors 55+ residential development to move forward.
The proposed site is located on vacant land at the southeast corner of Bell Boulevard and Sidney Street in Belleville.
It involves a four-storey apartment building along with 89 townhouses. There would be 74 units in the apartment building under the proposal, leading to 163 planned dwelling units.
Commercial businesses, including a health club, bar and restaurant would also be located in the building on the ground floor.
The recommendation will now be brought to Belleville City Council at a future meeting.
