Belleville police responded to 91 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on October 3, 2022 to 5 a.m. on October 4, 2022.
Mischief
On October 3, 2022, Belleville police received a report in regards to a mischief. The complainant was parked at a residence on Dundas Street East, overnight on September 23. The complainant came outside around 2:00 a.m. and found that her tire was punctured. There are no suspects at this time. Belleville police are asking anyone with information to contact Belleville police or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
Theft
On October 3, 2022 at 11:27 a.m., Belleville police received a report in regards to a theft on Campbell Street. The victim reported that somebody had stolen her mailbox with a number of letters in it. There are no suspects at this time. Project RENEWAL Drug Arrest
On October 3, 2022, Project Renewal arrested 40-year-old Omar Williams of London, Ontario on outstanding warrants by the Napanee OPP. As a result of the arrest, a quantity of illegal drugs was located: Items seized include 40.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, 7.3 grams of Psilocybin and115.3 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.
As a result, Williams was charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Meth
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
Williams was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing on October 4, 2022.
