Belleville police responded to 84 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on August 10, 2022 to 5 a.m. on August 11, 2022.
Domestic Assault
On August 10, 2022 at 2:11 p.m., Belleville police took a complaint from a family member about abuse in a home in the east end of the city. An investigation revealed an elderly male had assaulted his wife and minor injuries were reported. As a result, an 83-year-old Belleville male has been charged with assault. He was later released with a September 12, 2022 court date. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
