The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF) has partnered with local restaurants to raise funds for much-needed equipment at the hospital.
The Match Madness Challenge, which ran March 1 to 31, saw Quinte West restaurants donate $1 from specific menu items to TMHF, with donations being matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 by Doug Crews, a Quinte West resident and member of the Trenton’s Lion Club.
“This is equipment, that is today’s equipment.”
TMHF Executive Director, Wendy Warner, says the event raised over $15,000 with 100% of proceeds going towards equipment in the hospital.
“Right now we are in the process, we need over $300,000 in neurology equipment this year. GreenLight Laser and some other equipment,”
TMHF plans to hold the event again in the future with even more collaboration from local eateries.
