“I’m Adopting an Eco-Friendly Lifestyle” Free Online Workshop
In honour of Earth Day this year, the City of Belleville’s Green Task Force has funded a free workshop for residents, to be hosted by Earth Day Canada. The “I’m Adopting an Eco-Friendly Lifestyle” workshop will be held virtually on April 21 (the day before Earth Day) from 7 to 8 p.m. and will provide viewers with concrete, affordable ways to help reduce their environmental impact.
The workshop will be led by Climate Reality Leader and Circular Innovation Council Certified Waste Auditor Tess Wittmann and will cover ways to fight food waste, reduce your personal waste, extend the useful life of your belongings and put other cost-effective, eco-friendly tricks into use.
“Our goal with this event is to remind residents that every action really does count when it comes to taking care of the planet,” said Chair of the Green Task Force Councillor Chris Malette. “We recognize the overwhelming burden that can be sometimes be associated with environmental issues and wanted to provide residents with simple and achievable changes that can be made on a regular basis, that create a huge impact.”
Those interested in taking part in the workshop must register online. Please note there are limited spots available and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once registered, participants will receive a link to the virtual meeting closer to the event day.
