Federal Conservative Leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre will visit the Quinte region in the coming weeks.
Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams says Poilievre will be in Quinte West on St. Patrick’s day.
He will attend a dinner at Heroes Landing and speak about why he would be the best leader of the party and why he wants to be the next Prime Minister of Canada.
The Ottawa area MP is the only official candidate in the race so far.
Williams says Jean Charest, who is also expected to enter the leadership race soon, has indicated he will visit the region over the summer.
The party’s new leader will be chosen in September.
Tickets for the event are $100.
