(B-Sens defenceman Michael Del Zotto scored a goal and assist in come from behind victory in Hartford)
The Belleville Senators have developed a flair for the dramatic. On the heals of a sensational come-from-behind win in Laval on Saturday the B-Sens staged another third period rally and beat the hometown Hartford Wolf Pack 3-2 in overtime.
Roark Chartier’s second goal of the game came at 1:08 of overtime. Belleville trailed 1-0 with 7 1/2 minutes left in the third. Coach Troy Mann says goaltender Filip Gustavsson made some key saves early in the period.
Micahel Del Zotto tied the game at 1 at 12:39 of the third period. It was Del Zotto’s 9th goal of the season. He also assisted on the winner. Filip Gustavsson turned aside 27 shots.
Belleville is in fifth place in the AHL North with 48 points.
Belleville is home to the Rochester Americans tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday night at the CAA Arena. All attendance restrictions have been lifted.
