A Belleville Police sergeant has been found guilty of Neglect of Duty.
Sergeant Brad Lentini was charged with one count of Discreditable Conduct for failing to ensure that an injured prisoner under his care received prompt medical treatment.
The charge was in connection with an incident in August 2019 where a man suffered a broken arm while being escorted out of his home.
A Police Services Act hearing was held over two days in late October of last year with the hearing officer, Retired Superintendent Greg Walton, releasing his decision on January 11th.
A disposition hearing has been scheduled for March 23rd which will determine the penalty imposed by the hearing officer.
