Another person has died from COVID-19 locally.
Wednesday Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health reported the death, bringing the total number of fatalities in the two counties to 23 since the pandemic began over two years ago.
The number of people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital has increased to 33 from 29 on Monday.
Nine of those people are in the Intensive Care Unit. The number of active outbreaks in high risk settings is down to 19 from 20 on Monday.
As far as the number of active cases goes the health unit is only reporting on high risk cases and there are now 194 more of those bringing the total number of high risk infections to 1,318.
In Northumberland Wednesday, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported 31 new cases and 585 active.
