Two people were arrested after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on a golf course in Tyendinaga Township.
Lennox and Addington OPP were called to the golf course located off Old Highway 2 around 7 p.m. Wednesday evening where officers located a driver and passenger sleeping inside a running vehicle.
The driver showed signs of impairment.
Suspected fentanyl was seized from the vehicle along with credit cards and personal documents.
Two individuals from Brockville face multiple charges.
Lisa Blommesteyn, age 32, of Brockville is charged with:
Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drug and,
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
Devyn Stewart-Gravel, age 23, of Brockville is charged with:
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance and,
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
Both accused were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
