Work is beginning this week on a major traffic roundabout between Tyendinaga Township and Lennox and Addington County.
Roads Supervisor John Farrell tells Quinte News work is underway and it should be completed by August of this year.
“This project was supposed to go last year but because of hydro poles, being so long getting the hydro poles moved, that they backed up to this year.”
The Tyendinaga section is on Deseronto Road, County Road One and Belleville Road.
The Lennox and Addington side is County Road One and County Road 10.
The Provincial Government is paying 90% of the total project cost at $1,598,000.
The contract had been awarded to RW Tomlinson Limited.
