Along with the usual warnings about COVID-19 in the area, officials with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health are asking residents in the northern part of our listening area to take extra precautions.
While the health unit dashboard is showing five cases in North Hastings and four in Centre Hastings, health unit staff say they are “concerned that this number may not accurately reflect the potential risk of exposure to COVID-19 in the region.”
Officials are worried about people who travel to and from those areas, from neighbouring municipalities, which have had outbreaks and positive cases and are asking residents to continue to take the necessary precautions in order to protect themselves and their families.
