Mischief to trailer
Belleville police are looking for suspects after a trailer was broken into and set on fire behind a Bell Boulevard business on Thursday morning.
It happened just before 8:30 a.m. and investigators say the trailer was heavily damaged.
No other details were released, but anyone who might have information is being asked to call the BPS.
Tattoo leads to arrest on warrants
Belleville police officers used a pretty obvious clue to identify a man who was wanted on warrants on Thursday.
Officers saw the man, who had an outstanding warrant for missing a court date, around 11:00 a.m., but when they spoke to him he provided a fake name.
Police were still able to ID him as their suspect because his real name is tattooed on his forearm.
The 24-year-old was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
Another reminder to “lock it or lose it”
Belleville police have issued another reminder to keep your car locked and valuables out of sight .
It comes after a homeowner on Bogart Crescent, in the west end, reported someone stealing cash and credit cards from their unlocked vehicle sometime overnight last Friday.
No information was released on any suspects, but anyone who might have details on the theft can contact Belleville Police.
