Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
All seven of the new cases were confirmed between Friday and Sunday, with transmission of all of those cases being attributed to close contact with someone else who had the virus.
Three of the new cases are in people 19 or younger, two were found in women in the 20 to 39 age bracket, with one case each being found in people in the 40 to 59 and 60 plus age groups.
There are now 17 active cases of COVID-19 in Hastings-Prince Edward, with five people recovering from the virus over the weekend.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has confirmed one student from St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville has a confirmed case of the virus. A student from Stirling Public School has contracted the virus as have 2 Loyalist College students.
Meanwhile the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit is reporting six new cases there, with a total of 10 active, and 69 since the pandemic began.
