One new confirmed case of COVID-19 was reported yesterday (Wednesday) by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
The infection was discovered in Quinte West. The cause is listed as pending. The latest case brings the total in Hastings and Prince Edward counties since the pandemic began to 82.
Five cases remain active.
Meanwhile there were no new cases of COVID-19 in Northumberland County reported yesterday so the total there remains at 50. Two cases are listed as active.
