Stirling-Rawdon’s Council Meeting was adjourned early Tuesday evening, after a blow up over water and drainage.
Councillor Sari Watson was discussing a petition on water and drainage issues on Baker Street, when she made a closing remark towards Environmental Manager Matthew Richmond.
Here is a portion of that interaction.
Councillor Watson says stories of flooding in the community has gone unheard, including the drainage of the water tower
Watson says she called Richmond a “little devil” because he “lunged at her from behind his desk”.
Watson says there is a history of council creating drama, and a systemic suppression of voices in the community.
Township CAO Roxanne Hearns can be heard announcing a walk out of staff from the meeting. Mayor Bob Mullin adjourned the meeting. Mayor Mullin spoke to Quinte News Wednesday afternoon.
