The 2020 season for Pop-Ups on the Bay officially opened this morning (Thursday).
A small press conference was held by Mayor Mitch Panciuk to celebrate the launch of this year’s season.

He says the season is already off to a much better start than last year, as Mother Nature is cooperating in regards to water levels. The weather was great for the launch and there are nine vendors hoping to make the summer a profitable one.
Panciuk says West Zwick’s Park will definitely have something for everyone and will be the place to visit for locals and visitors alike.
This year sees Brick Oven Pizza and Golden Scoop return for their second summer along with a number of new vendors that offer everything from a casual meal to a sweet treat, outdoor gear rentals, clothing and more.

Development and Tourism Coordinator Anne Munro says she was thrilled to be involved with this project as it is one of the most significant projects for Belleville and the waterfront.
Councillor Ryan Williams says West Zwick’s Park is known as a gem and he was blown away with the response to this year’s Pop-Ups season.
He says the vendors’ hard work and the money they have put into this will pay off.
Panciuk echoed that statement.
The vendors will be open daily until September 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
