On June 14, 2019 at 6:50 a.m., Central Hastings OPP responded to a report of two abandoned damaged vehicles in the Village of Marmora.
The OPP have a charged a male adult who had been involved in a domestic dispute whereby he uttered threats, stole money and the owner’s vehicle.
The male caused mischief to the vehicle and also stole a second vehicle to use it to ram the first one. Both vehicles were damaged.
As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Marmora man has been charged with:
Fail to Comply with Recognizance – 3 counts
- Fail to Comply with Probation
- Mischief Under $5000 – 3 counts
- Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Theft Under $5000
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
The accused will appear for a scheduled bail hearing in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 17, 2019.
The male cannot be identified in order to protect the victim.
