A 24-hour run, in support of people in the Quinte area with acquired brain injury, is set to go ahead rain or shine this weekend.
About 70 people in the Quinte area attend programs through the Brain Injury Association of Quinte and District.
This involves a total of about 200 people, including the families.
The Mind over Matter run-walk by Kris Bonn is a fundraiser on their behalf.
Executive Director Jennifer Sharp tells Quinte News the Association offers a long list of programs including creative, fitness and skills.
“We offer 10 weekly programs to individuals and their families in our area who are living with acquired brain injury.”
Bonn is running laps at the Mary Ann Sills Park, starting at 5 p.m. Friday and overnight to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Sharp says Bonn wants people to join him.
Bonn hopes to raise $15,000 during the event.
The Brain Injury Association will be onsite at Mary Ann Sills Park accepting donations and providing tax receipts.
