The Belleville Police responded to 48 calls for service between March 2, 2019 at 5 a.m. and March 3, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Man charged with refusing to provide breath sample
On March 2, 2019 at 3:05 p.m., Belleville Police were called to an east end restaurant regarding a possible impaired driver. Police were advised that a male had driven to the restaurant and appeared intoxicated as he entered. Police located the male and demanded that he provide a breath sample into an approved screening device to which he refused. Ryan Mason, 43, of Picton was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. He will appear in court in March.
Collison leads to charges
On March 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., police were called to a motor vehicle collision on Tracey Street. Upon arrival, police determined one of the drivers had been drinking. Police obtained a roadside breath sample and the driver was arrested. Sharon Wickett, 66, of Picton was charged with operating a vehicle with over 80mgs. She will appear in court in March.
