Waterfront Festival plans in Brighton are in limbo for the summer of ’09. A member of the council, Mary Tadman questioned council, last night, as to why the town decided to spend 85-thousand dollars on a waterfront study and then turn around and cancel the festival that brings people to the waterfront. Councillor Emily Rowley replied…the festival lost money last year and the Community Events Committee opted to cancel this year’s event. The waterfront plan will be presented to the Waterfront Development Committee tomorrow.
