The City of Quinte West (in partnership with the Trenton Golden Hawks), is hosting the the Eastern Canada Cup All Star Challenge.
There are eight Ontario teams, two from Quebec, and two from Atlantic Canada competing in the three day tournament, which brings more than 250 scouts from the NCAA, CIS, CHL, and the NHL.

Steven Elliott of the Trenton Golden Hawks had two goals in his second game, as OJHL Team Joe Nieuwendyk beat the Maritimes South 3-1. They are tied with Northern Ontario West for first with five points each.

The tournament format is two 20 minute periods, with a three man shootout if necessary.
