The local manufacturing sector is benefiting from some funding today.
The Quinte Economic Development Commission is receiving $535,459 from Trenval Business Development Corporation under the Eastern Ontario Development Program. The money will flow to the Commission incrementally, over the next 5 years.
Chris King, the CEO of Quinte Economic Development Commission says the EODP program has provided the necessary funds to allow the Bay of Quinte manufacturing sector to thrive.
“This has supported new manufacturing investment attraction and retention,” says King.
MP Neil Ellis says he is proud of this investment which will help local manufacturing businesses to scale-up quickly and become globally competitive, contributing to the creation of jobs and greater sustainability in the region.
