A former Belleville Senator is now going to be helping players from behind the bench.
The Ottawa Senators have announced that Chris Kelly has been hired as a development coach for the team.
The Sens say the 37-year-old will join Shean Donovan in the role.
Kelly played 16 games in Belleville last year, before helping Canada win a Spangler Cup, and a bronze medal at the Olympics, where Kelly served as captain.
He also won a Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011.

Belleville Senators forward Chris Kelly is presented with a banner signed by B-Sens fans, as he gets set to travel to South Korea, to represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The presentation was made following a game against the Manitoba Moose, at Yardmen Arena, on January 24, 2018. (Photo: Jason Scourse / Belleville Senators)
