Drivers had a difficult start to the long weekend with a number of incidents tying up traffic this morning.
The Carrying Place swing bridge on Highway 33 was stuck open for a while causing long back ups.
There was also an accident on the Prince Edward County side of the Norris Whitney Bridge, which led to a brief lane closure to tow away the vehicles involved and clean up a minor fuel spill.
There were also reports of traffic tie-ups due to a minor crash at North Front Street and Tracey Street.
No word on any injuries in either of those crashes and the bridge in Carrying Place is working normally again.
