A group of area small businesses is benefitting from some funding from the Trenval Business Development Corporation.
The Trenval Small Business Centre handed out $26,000 in funding, to eight local businesses this week, through its Starter Plus program.
Two of the businesses are located in Belleville, two in Hastings County, one in Prince Edward County and three are in Quinte West.
Those businesses include restaurants, health services, water services and floral shops, with some of them using the cash to start up and others using it to expand.
They include:
