The Quinte Mall was evacuated on Monday night, after reports pepper spray was used.
Multiple reports came to Quinte News that someone released the spray.
Belleville Fire crews responded to the scene to ventilate the building.

EMS and Belleville Police were also called and one witness told Quinte News that a person was being treated, however that has not been confirmed by officials. Another source tells us two people under 18 came into contact with the spray and were treated. Another tells us a woman was having difficulty breathing while inside.
A social media report said that one person was sprayed directly in the face.
No word on charges or injury at this time from city police.
We are being told all patrons and staff inside the mall were ordered out of the building.
