It appears Hastings County is doing something right when it comes to promoting economic growth.
On Thursday census numbers were released for growth in the country, including the Quinte region.
It showed Hastings County with a 21 percent jump in median household income growth, the highest in the area.
Economic Development Manager Andrew Redden says if you go back to 2005, you see another strong trend.
He credits broadband internet on helping that trend.
Redden says it is a sign that residents are leaving the big city and moving to a more rural setting.
