The tournament, lead by local organizers, brought in over a million dollars to the local economy.
The team had a Belleville coach in Todd Crawford, a local GM in Brett Davis, and half a dozen women, who represented their country, finishing 2nd in Group B.
The tournament set several U-19 women’s world attendance records and brought a new sport to thousands.
No matter where the sport goes in this country, it will have started thanks to the Quinte region.
