As the Wellington Dukes look ahead to next season they’re also closing the book on the season just past. That includes naming their award winners for the month of March.
Mitchell Martan was named the Dukes “Long Reach Towels Dukes Offensive Player of the Month”. Martan, who scored 3 goals in the regular season, had 9 goals and 12 points in the playoffs. Martan has two years of junior eligibility remaining but has committed to Boston College.

Belleville native Brody Morris is the “Duke of Wellington Defensive Player of the Month.” As well as playing his robust style Morris also scored 12 points in the post season.
The Dukes say there will soon be an announcement regarding the 20 year old Morris’s playing status in the fall.
