The hospital in The County has welcomed a new piece of machinery which will help sedated patients.
Its technical name is a GE B850 Monitor and it will be used to observe patients undergoing a colonoscopy or gastroscopy.
The monitor was paid for by the Stark Family Fund, at a cost of more than $30,400.
It reads data on the patient’s bedside and also assesses his/her anesthesia levels.
The equipment was required under new health care standards in the province.
