The 25th annual Trenton Scottish Irish Festival kicked off in a big way Friday night.
Great Big Sea frontman Alan Doyle highlighted the evening, in front of thousands at the Centennial Park amphitheatre.
Councillor Duncan Armstrong says the festival puts Quinte West on the map.

The Air Force Pipe Band, and other music were part of the Military Tattoo which opened the show.
On Saturday, the parade gets underway at 10:00 a.m., with music, vendors, highland competitions and much more going on.
