The man killed while walking in Tweed Wednesday afternoon has been identified.
62 year old John Courneya was struck by a vehicle around 3:00 p.m on Old Hungerford Road near Birch Lane.
Police say a car had to move off the road to avoid a truck coming the other way on a curve.
Courneya was pronounced dead at hospital.
The Madoc driver, a 21 year old woman, suffered minor injuries.
