A raw milk producer, who was part of a local battle over sheep, has had charges against him dropped.
Michael Schmidt was accused of stealing two cameras, posted near his Durham area farm.
In Thursday’s court decision, the judge said the Crown failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Schmidt had taken the cameras, so he was acquitted of the charges.
In a separate investigation, Schmidt, along with two others were charged with hiding sheep from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
It was initially believed the Warkworth area Shropshire Sheep were infected with Scrapie.
After testing of the carcasses, no signed of scrapie were discovered.
