Smoke drifting out of a home’s second floor windows caused a stir in the usually quiet hamlet of Glen Miller in Quinte West early last night (Friday).
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 513 Glen Miller Road, near Johnstown Road just before 7 o’clock.
It turned out a pot had been left to burn on the stove in one of the apartments in the house.
The home was ventilated. No one was injured.
