It’s the perfect setting for a nice walk, rollerblade, or run.
Tyendinaga Township’s new 1.6 km long recreational trail was officially opened yesterday at the recreation centre property.
Much of the trail, which features benches along the way, is nestled in the woods.
The trail is paved, but ATVs and other motorized vehicles are not allowed on it.
The new trail cost $100,000 to build, with $80,000 of the total coming from the Trillium Foundation.
As part of the festivities, there was a 5km fun run. Close to $2,000 was raised for the local Cancer Society.
