The City of Belleville has released a design of the proposed new walking bridge in the downtown.
At Monday’s Mayor’s Implementation Team meeting, staff and members discussed the project, which would imitate similar bridges crossing the Moira River.
Manager of Engineering Ray Ford says they are just wrapping up the bridge selection process.
A new bridge is expected in the $2 million range.
The current bridge crossing was built in the mid 1960s.
