Search and Rescue Technicians at CFB Trenton will be doing more flare training tonight and tomorrow night but this time near Bon Echo Provincial Park.
A C-130 Hercules will be launching yellow-white flares, from about 5,800 feet over Grimsthorpe Lake, between 6:00 p.m. and midnight.
Other than seeing a few flashes and hearing the buzz of the aircraft, there won’t be much of a disruption to residents.
The training is in support of nighttime search and rescue missions and allows 424 Squadron pilots to practice night flying and spotting procedures.
