Brighton residents will be able to throw their ballots in the mailbox once again when they vote in this October’s municipal election.
A report from C-A-O Gayle Frost to Council tonight recommends voting by mail, and the rental of two vote tabulators for counting the returned ballots. The last two Brighton municipal elections have also allowed sending votes through the mail. Voting stations will also be open on election day.
Brighton council will also consider a recommendation to give the Northumberland Y-M-C-A 51-hundred dollars four times a year to meet the 20.5-thousand-dollar annual grant council approved during the 2010 budget. The council meeting begins at the municipal office on Alice Street at 6-30 this evening.
