Last year was a very good year for building in the City of Quinte West, and the new construction significantly
boosted development charge revenue.
That means that developers turned over more money to help pay for various types
of city infrastructure and services.
Quinte West’s Director of Finance and Corporate Services David Clazie said last year, developers turned over a total of almost $1.1 million dollars to the city.
That compares to $700,000 in 2014.
Meanwhile, in other Quinte West financial news, the city ended 2015 with $28.5 million in reserves.
That is up from $27.2 million in 2014.
