Prince Edward County council will hold a special meeting on development charges Wednesday afternoon.
Mayor Robert Quaiff says council will be asked to extend the current development charges by-law for one years time.
During the next year, a committee will be struck involving County staff and members of the local development industry to come up with a new plan to guide development into the future.
The committee will meet and eventually make recommendations regarding fees, discounts, and connection charges.
Mayor Quaiff says developers are considering some major projects and are looking for certainty in a new development charge by-law.
The special meeting is tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at Shire Hall.
