An extreme cold warning has been issued because a prolonged period of very cold wind chills is expected for much of Ontario, including Quinte.
Wind chill values in the high -30’s are expected to continue through Saturday night, due to cold air combined with heavy winds.
Staff Meteorologist Kevin Williams tells Matt Mitchell we could be breaking records.
He adds east of Belleville and The County will get hit with more snow as well.
Once the cold is gone by Sunday night, a storm bringing snow, ice and freezing rain is expected early next week.
