It should be a happy atmosphere at a meeting of Belleville city council later this afternoon.
The betting is that the location of the new casino on Bell Boulevard will become official.
Presentations will be made by both the casino operator, Great Canadian Gaming, and by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The casino will be built right beside the new Towneplace Suites by Marriott hotel.
It’s expected to be up and running next year.
The City of Belleville will receive a portion of the casino’s revenues.
City council meets at 5 p.m. at city hall.
