Brighton council will continue working on a budget for this year in a special meeting later today.
As it sits, council is looking at a budget totaling just over $7.1 million, including capital
spending of just over $1 million.
The draft budget represents a 2.75% increase to taxpayers over last years, or an $84 a
year increase in taxes on a house valued at $250,000.
The special budget meeting starts at 4 p.m. today at the Brighton municipal offices.
